Botir Kudratkhujayev appointed Minister of Emergency Situations
Abdulla Kuldoshev has stepped down as Minister of Emergency Situations, with Botir Kudratkhujayev, a former Compulsory Enforcement Bureau director and recent Military Prosecutor, appointed as his successor.

The relevant presidential decree confirmed his appointment and relieved him of his position as Deputy Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan – Military Prosecutor.
Earlier, Botir Kudratkhujayev’s candidacy was approved by the deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.
Previously, Botir Kudratkhujayev served as the acting prosecutor and then the prosecutor of Surkhandarya region (2014–2016). He later worked as the prosecutor of Tashkent city (2016–2017). From June 2017 to October 2020, he held the position of Director of the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau under the Prosecutor General’s Office of Uzbekistan.
In 2020, he became the prosecutor of Khorezm region, and in November 2022, he was appointed Deputy Prosecutor General – Military Prosecutor.
For reference, the Ministry of Emergency Situations had been led by Abdulla Kuldoshev since March 2022. (Since 2018, he had effectively been the head of the ministry as the First Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations). The reason for his dismissal is currently unknown.
