Nizomiddinov previously served as Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration and, more recently, as the First Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan.
At the session, Tashkent region governor Zoyir Mirzaev, who attended the meeting, addressed the urgent socio-economic challenges facing the district. He noted that in terms of service provision, investment attraction, and budget revenue collection, Bekabad ranks among the lowest in the region.
Shukhrat Dustbekov, who had been serving as Bekabad’s governor since December 2023, was dismissed from his post due to “errors and shortcomings” committed during his tenure.
Zoyir Mirzaev nominated Nizomiddinov for the role, and the People’s Deputies Council confirmed his candidacy.
Zaynilobiddin Nizomiddinov led the Presidential Administration from 2018 to 2022. On June 8, 2022, he stepped down due to health reasons. A month later, he was appointed First Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan.
