CEC adopted a resolution on election of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the post of president

According to the CEC press service, in the presidential elections on the basis of free expression of will, more than 15.6 million citizens included in the voter lists, or almost 80%, voted for the candidate they considered worthy.

At the meeting, a protocol was drawn up on the results of the elections held on July 9, 2023, and a resolution was adopted to approve the election results.

In particular, a resolution was adopted on the election of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the post of president by 87.05 percent of the votes of voters who took part in the elections.

The protocol also reflects that 4.43% of voters voted for the candidate from the "Adolat" Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Robakhon Makhmudova, 4.02% for the candidate from the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Ulugbek Inoyatov and 3.74% for Abdushukur Khamzaev, candidate from the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan.

In addition, the issue of appeals received by the CEC during the preparation and holding of early presidential elections was considered, and an appropriate decision was made.
