In total, 51 senators were elected to the Senate, down from the previous 56. This adjustment aligns with the newly amended Constitution, which mandates equal regional representation in the Senate, with each region now electing four senators instead of six. As a result, the total number of Senate members has been reduced from 100 to 65.

Elections in Karakalpakstan and the Andijan, Bukhara, Syrdarya, and Khorezm regions yielded three senators each, reflecting the change in regional representation. The newly elected body comprises a diverse group, with 56.6% of senators over the age of 60, and 41.6% between 40 and 60 years old. The youngest senator, 30-year-old Alisher Sadullayev, heads the Agency for Youth Affairs.

The Senate also includes prominent figures such as the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of Karakalpakstan, regional governors, and the mayor of Tashkent.

The first session of the newly formed Senate is scheduled for November 19.
