At the meeting, the issue of announcing the election campaign and approving the calendar plan for the preparation and conduct of the elections was considered.
“It is important to ensure the phased implementation of the measures envisaged by the legislation related to the conduct of elections. To this end, the meeting approved a calendar plan for the preparation and conduct of elections,” the CEC said in a statement.
According to the CEC, this calendar plan defines the activities provided for by law and the timing of their implementation. In particular, in accordance with the calendar plan, 51 events are envisaged in 7 areas of the electoral process.
It is emphasized that the calendar plan provides for an open and transparent, correct and effective organization of the election campaign in compliance with the requirements of the law, rational distribution and mobilization of available forces and capabilities.
“The calendar plan will serve as a systematic implementation of the measures determined by the legislation for preparation for the elections and their holding in a logical sequence,” the CEC concluded.
For information, in accordance with the decree of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, early presidential elections are scheduled for July 9 this year.
