Former CEC Chairman elected Constitutional Court Judge
The Senate has elected the former chairman of the Central Election Commission, Mirzo-Ulugbek Abdusalomov, as a judge of the Constitutional Court.

At the Senate plenary session, the senators unanimously approved his candidacy for the new post.
Abdusalomov, 68, had worked as the CEC chairman for 16 years – since May 7, 2005.
It was earlier reported that the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis had considered the termination of powers of 7 members of the Central Election Commission, including Mirzo-Ulugbek Abdusalomov.
