According to the Central Bank, in January-July 2020, the volume of foreign currency purchases by individuals amounted to $2 billion, which is three times more than the same period last year ($686 million).
Moreover, the volume of foreign currency sales by individuals reached $2.5 billion, increasing by 50% or $842 million compared to the same period last year.
As a result, the net supply of currency was $501 million, which is less by 49% ($489 million) than in the same period in 2019.
