Individual trying to smuggle rubles and dollars from Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan detained
He hid more than 5 million Russian rubles and $4,000 in his handbag.

According to the information of the customs department of Tashkent region, the hand luggage of the citizen who entered the border customs post “Gishtkuprik” on foot to cross Uzbekistan to the neighboring country was inspected by the customs officials. It was found out that 5,135,000 Russian rubles and 4,000 US dollars were not listed in the passenger’s customs declaration and were not disclosed in the oral inquiry.
Currently, the customs authorities are investigating the above case.
