Rector of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan resigns

The head of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Yovkochev resigned.
Rustam Qosimov, in addition to holding the post of an adviser to the president on issues of interaction with public and religious organizations and the rector of the Presidential Academy of Public Administration, will replace Yovkochev as the head of the Islamic Academy.
It should be recalled that in accordance with the presidential decree “On measures to fundamentally improve activities in the religious education sphere,” the International Islamic Academy was established on the basis of Tashkent Islamic University and the Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan.
