International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan to sign cooperation agreements with leading Islamic universities of Malaysia

Delegation of Uzbekistan headed by Presidential Advisor Rustam Qosimov and Deputy Prime Minister Elyor Ganiyev will visit Malaysia on December 19-21, 2019, the MFA press service said.

During the visit, the delegation will take part in the Kuala Lumpur Summit “The role of development in achieving national sovereignty”.

The Summit has been held since 2014 as a platform for cooperation between leaders of states, representatives of public, business, academic and scientific circles of various countries to exchange views and best practices to prevent the challenges facing the Muslim world, as well as to find the best ways to revive Islamic civilization.

The Summit will be chaired by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mahathir Mohamad.

The event is planned to be attended by the heads of state and government of Asia and the Middle East, as well as senior representatives from other countries of the world.

The program of the visit of Uzbekistan’s delegation provides for holding in Kuala Lumpur meetings with the leadership of several ministries and departments, as well as large companies in Malaysia to discuss prospects for further development of bilateral relations.

It is planned to sign Agreements on practical cooperation between the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan with a number of leading Islamic universities and research centers of Malaysia.
