In partnership with WorldSkills Russia, Uzbekistan will establish its own centers for assessing the competence of labor migrants that meet the standards of WorldSkills International, the Labor Ministry reports.
In Bukhara, a meeting was held on improving the labor migration system with the cooperation of the Uzbek-Russian governments. It was attended by the Labor Minister of Uzbekistan Nozim Khusanov, the head of the Federal Service for Labor and Employment of Russia Mikhail Ivankov, as well as representatives of WorldSkills Russia.
WorldSkills international certification allows migrant workers to find work that is especially in demand in foreign countries and is also well paid.
This international certificate confirms professionalism and competence of the employee. According to representatives of the organization, it will be enough to present this certificate to a foreign employer for successful employment.
The parties also agreed to create a WorldSkills Russia training center in Uzbekistan and launch a self-assessment system in the country.
