Saint Petersburg in frames: A photographic tour of Russia’s cultural capital

The Hermitage Museum, the Neva River, and the blend of European and Slavic architecture make Saint Petersburg stand out among other cities. A Kun.uz photojournalist has captured the true atmosphere of this historic and cultural city, down to its finest details.

For many Uzbeks, Saint Petersburg is well known for the Hermitage Museum, which houses Central Asia’s rich cultural artifacts, as well as the Grand Mosque of Saint Petersburg, built with the patronage of the Emir of Bukhara, Said Abdul Ahad Khan.

The city's 18th and 19th-century architectural heritage, along with the gardens and fountains of the Peterhof Palace, take on an even more magical, fairytale-like appearance in winter.
