The delegation was led by the Director of the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, Behzod Musaev, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Olimjon Abdullaev.
During the visit, meetings were held with Qatar's Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour, Sheikha Najwa bint Abdulrahman Al-Thani; the Director of the Consular Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Muhammad Abdullah Saeed Al-Subaiey; and the Director General of the Migration and Passport Service of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al-Ateeq Al-Dosari.
Qatar expressed strong interest in increasing the number of Uzbek nationals in its labor market. Discussions covered key issues such as providing support to Uzbek citizens temporarily working in Qatar, ensuring the creation of decent jobs and favorable working conditions, simplifying visa issuance processes, and safeguarding their legal rights and interests under Qatari law.
As part of the visit, a cooperation agreement was signed between Uzbekistan's Migration Agency and Qatar’s largest recruitment company, "Jusur." The agreement paves the way for skilled professionals from Uzbekistan to secure employment in Qatar in critical sectors such as healthcare, the oil and gas industry, hospitality, and services.
