UzAuto Motors retains 8.5 trillion UZS profit after declaring new dividends

An extraordinary general meeting of shareholders was held on January 10 to approve the profit distribution program. The resolution was supported by 99.83% of the shareholders, with only 0.1% abstaining.

A total of 264.01 billion UZS will be allocated for dividend payments, equating to 975 UZS per ordinary share, in line with the recommendation of the supervisory board. The payouts are scheduled to take place between January 10 and March 11.

As of the end of September 2024, the company’s undistributed profit stood at 8.84 trillion UZS. Following the dividend distribution, 8.57 trillion UZS, or 97% of the total, will remain under the company’s control.

In October, the company had already resolved to pay 167.88 billion UZS in dividends, equivalent to 620 UZS per share. At that time, the company’s undistributed profit as of July 1 amounted to 8.54 trillion UZS, reflecting a 28.8% increase compared to the previous year.

Of this profit, 1.9 trillion UZS were generated in the first half of 2024, marking a 65% year-over-year increase. The automaker also boosted its revenue to 23.42 trillion UZS while reducing production costs by 1%, bringing them down to 18.97 trillion UZS.
