A total of 402,391 domestically manufactured cars were sold during the year, with state-owned UzAuto Motors dominating the market, accounting for nearly 88% of all sales. The company sold 353,730 Chevrolet vehicles, making it the leader in the sector. ADM Jizzakh followed with a 7.5% market share, while BYD Uzbekistan Factory, which launched operations in June in the Jizzakh region, captured 4.3% of the market.

ADM Jizzakh recorded sales of over 30,300 vehicles, with Kia leading its portfolio at 19,400 units. Meanwhile, BYD sold more than 17,100 electric vehicles, contributing to a growing interest in eco-friendly transportation options. Other notable brands included Chery (7,500 vehicles) and Haval (3,300 vehicles).

Smaller manufacturers collectively accounted for less than 1% of the market. Asaka Motors sold 489 vehicles, Jizzakh Auto sold 394, and SamAuto sold 317.

Among the best-selling models in 2024, Chevrolet vehicles took the top spots. The Chevrolet Cobalt led with 127,200 units sold, followed by the Damas with 106,000 units. Other popular models included the Tracker (37,900 units), Onix (33,600), Labo (25,300), and Lacetti (18,300). Notably, Kia Sonet sold 7,700 units, while BYD’s Song Plus Champion DM-i (6,400 units) and Chazor (4,500) also made it to the top 10. The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro rounded out the list with 3,500 units.

In addition to domestic sales, over 80,000 vehicles valued at $1.27 billion were imported into Uzbekistan in 2024. This figure represents a 33.2% decline in value and a 7% drop in volume compared to 2023. For the first time, imports of electric and hybrid vehicles (55.7%) surpassed those with internal combustion engines (44.2%).

When including imports, the total size of Uzbekistan’s auto market exceeded 482,000 vehicles in 2024, reflecting an annual growth of approximately 5.6%. This follows a 2023 total of 456,340 vehicles, when UzAuto Motors controlled 81% of the market with 369,900 cars sold.
