The trilateral meeting brought together Kyrgyz Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev, Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, and Tajik Prime Minister Qohir Rasulzoda. According to the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers' press service, the gathering took place at the strategic point where the borders of the three countries converge.
During the meeting, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan celebrated the completion of the delimitation process for their shared border. The two nations also exchanged ratification instruments for the Agreement on the State Border between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. This milestone signifies a formal and mutual acknowledgment of their border alignment.
Attention was also directed to the progress between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The meeting emphasized the importance of finalizing the delineation of the remaining sections of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border. This follows the Agreement on the State Border signed on December 4, 2024. Both sides acknowledged the need for their respective working groups to expedite the preparation of final documents to solidify the agreement.
Concluding the meeting, the prime ministers affirmed their commitment to addressing border issues, recognizing them as some of the region’s most pressing concerns.
