Three major tunnels under construction as China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan rail project advances
Construction of critical infrastructure has begun in Suzak district, Jalal-Abad region, as part of the international railway project connecting China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.

A ceremonial launch event was held with the participation of an Uzbek delegation, including representatives from the Ministry of Transport and JSC Uzbekistan Railways.
In the first phase, three major tunnels will be constructed, with a total length exceeding 37 kilometers.
The railway project officially commenced on December 27, 2024, in the city of Jalal-Abad.
The total length of the planned railway is 532.53 kilometers, and it is expected to become a vital segment of a new international transport corridor linking East and Central Asia.
