Uzbekistan appoints new ambassador to Sweden
Rahmatulla Nurimbetov has officially assumed his role as Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Sweden, replacing Nodir Ganiev.

On December 4, Ambassador Nurimbetov presented his credentials to King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, marking the formal commencement of his diplomatic tenure, according to the Dunyo IA.
Following the official ceremony, discussions took place on the prospects for strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Sweden across various sectors.
Nurimbetov arrived in Stockholm on October 15 to prepare for his new position. Before this appointment, he served as Uzbekistan's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2023 to 2024.
