According to reports, the man arrived in Russia in 2018 for permanent residence and was granted Russian citizenship in 2024. As part of the naturalization process, he was required to register for military service within two weeks of receiving citizenship. Despite being informed of this obligation when issued his documents, he did not comply.
The local Migration Department of the Kamchatka Ministry of Internal Affairs annulled his citizenship and confiscated his Russian passport following the violation.
This is not the first instance of such a case. Previously, in Tomsk, another Uzbek national faced similar consequences for failing to fulfill military registration requirements.
