According to the National Agency for Social Protection, the children were accompanied on their journey by representatives from the Ministries of Internal Affairs and Health.
Uzbekistan’s consular offices in St. Petersburg and Moscow assisted in the process by identifying the children as citizens of Uzbekistan and issuing return certificates to facilitate their travel.
Upon arrival in Tashkent, the children were temporarily placed at the Center for Social and Legal Assistance to Minors, operating under the city’s Department of Internal Affairs.
“The children were met at the center by their parents and close relatives, who had been pre-approved as guardians by the ‘Inson’ Social Services Centers. These minors will continue to receive social support at their new places of residence,” the statement read.
This humanitarian operation highlights the ongoing cooperation between Uzbekistan’s government agencies and foreign diplomatic missions to protect vulnerable citizens abroad and ensure their safe reintegration into society.
