The seminar became a unique platform for meeting with delegations from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, China, representatives of the scientific community, META company, media, bloggers and young students specializing in the development of modern technologies.
Speaking at the event, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Jahongir Aminov introduced the participants to the measures taken in our country to introduce modern technologies into the country’s economy. It was especially noted that today in New Uzbekistan, special emphasis is placed on ensuring employment through the technological development of the modern economy, reducing poverty and increasing human capital.
Speaking about the created conditions for young people, who make up more than 60 percent of the population of modern Uzbekistan, it was emphasized that the country is taking concrete and thorough steps to ensure quality education and increase the competitiveness of the younger generation in the world market.
During the round table, participants discussed both achievements and problems that require the attention of the world community. In particular, they discussed the drying up of the Aral Sea, its consequences and the intensive depletion of water resources in the region.
The President of the Holon Institute of Technology, Eduard Yakubov, proposed creating a joint working scientific group, which would include specialists from interested countries, to study the problems of the Aral, Caspian and Dead Seas. This idea was supported by all participants of the event.
