A criminal case has been initiated into the death of a one-year-old girl in the Chilanzar district under Article 186-3 (Production, storage, transportation for marketing purposes or sale of goods, performance of work or provision of services that do not meet safety requirements) of the Criminal Code, the PGO press secretary Khayot Shamsutdinov reported.

During the inspection, it was established that the roots of the fallen tree were exposed and later the tree, unable to bear its weight, fell due to the fact that the workers repairing the water pipes did not follow safety precautions when carrying out excavation work using special equipment.

An investigation is underway.
