Mining farm embezzled electricity worth 34.3 billion soums in Syrdarya
The farm owners artificially reduced the meter readings by disconnecting one of the meter wires.

State Security Service employees, together with relevant bodies, identified a mining farm in Syrdarya that was stealing electricity, the SSS press service reports.
It turned out that the mining farm operated in the building of a limited liability company specialized in livestock farming in the Syrdarya region.
A total of 107 equipment were involved in the production of cryptocurrency using imported devices Innosilicon T3, Whatsminer m21s and Antminer S9 Bitmain.
In the period from April 2022 to March 2024, the owners of the mining farm artificially reduced the meter readings by periodically turning off the secondary circuit of the electrical appliance.
As a result, the management of the LLC illegally used 39.3 million kWh of electricity worth 34 billion 367 million soums.
It is noted that this electricity is sufficient to cover the monthly needs of the population of the Bayavut, Sardoba, Ak-Altyn and Gulistan districts of the region.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against officials of the LLC under paragraph “a” of Article 169-4 (Theft) of the Criminal Code.
