In Jizzakh, an e-sports arena was created on the site of a former tennis court. The main hall, designed for 1.2 thousand spectators, is modernly equipped. In addition, there are 12 educational and training rooms, a conference room, a dormitory for 35 people and a cafeteria.
The arena can also host international competitions in boxing, wrestling, basketball, table tennis, chess and checkers, as well as events within the framework of the Five Initiatives. The complex includes an IT academy, where young people learn computer skills, foreign languages, graphic design, robotics and other areas.
The head of state watched competitions in e-sports, chess, the intellectual game “Zakovat”, basketball and talked with young people.
“Today we visited many places in Jizzakh and launched new projects. Of course, the region’s economy and the scale of construction have grown significantly. But the main achievement is the desire of our youth, their activity and self-confidence. It is with such youth that we implement our strategy and the big goals that we have set for ourselves,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
Instructions were given to identify talented youth in each area and assist them in transitioning to professional sports.
