Uzbekistan announces conscription for compulsory military service
The decree was signed by the president.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree on the next conscription for compulsory military service and the discharge into the reserve of Armed Forces members who have served the established terms of service, the Ministry of Defence.
According to the document, the head of state ordered the conscription of citizens who do not have the right to deferment from the draft.
Citizens fit for compulsory military service who do not have the right to postponement or exemption from it, but who are not called up to the Armed Forces during the current conscription, will be enlisted in the mobilization conscription reserve.
Furthermore, the document provides for the discharge into the reserve of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan of service members who have served the established terms of compulsory military service in March - April 2024.
