Cost of voluntary military service rises by 10%
Starting from August 1, 2025, the minimum wage in Uzbekistan will be increased by 10%, reaching 1,271,000 UZS. This change will also affect the payment required for one-month military service under the mobilization call-up reserve system.

The fee for joining the mobilization call-up reserve (one-month military service) is directly tied to the minimum wage and set at seven times its amount. Accordingly, from August, the cost of one-month military service will rise from the current 8,085,000 UZS to 8,897,000 UZS.
Since the introduction of the minimum wage system in 2019, the payment required for one-month military service has increased as follows:
- 2019 – 4,040,000 UZS
- 2020 – 4,755,000 UZS
- 2021 – 5,754,000 UZS
- 2022 – 6,440,000 UZS
- 2023 – 6,860,000 UZS
- 2024 – 8,085,000 UZS
Applicants joining the mobilization call-up reserve may pay the required fee either in a lump sum or in installments over the course of a year. These funds are accumulated in the Ministry of Defense’s special account titled “Mobilization Call-Up Reserve Funds.”
The money is used to provide allowances for contract-based soldiers, strengthen the material and technical base of the Ministry of Defense, and support the logistical needs of those serving in the mobilization call-up reserve.
Citizens may join the mobilization call-up reserve until the age of 27. During their service, they may be called to participate in monthly military training sessions, respond to emergencies, or serve in actual combat if Uzbekistan faces armed aggression.
