Teachers and doctors among lowest earners in Uzbekistan – Statistics Agency
Statistics Agency has provided data on the average monthly salary in Uzbekistan.

According to the Statistics Agency, the average monthly nominal accrued wages in January-June of the current year in the republic amounted to 4,332,700 soums. It increased by 22% compared to the same period last year.
Over the past six months, the highest rates of average monthly nominal wages by region were recorded in the city of Tashkent (7,016,400 soums), Navoi (5,687,400 soums), Tashkent (4,368,200 soums), Andijan (3,767,400 soums) and Bukhara (3,719,600 soums) regions.
The highest growth in nominal wages was observed in the city of Tashkent (127.1%), Khorezm (122.8%), Andijan (122.7%), Jizzakh (121.9%) regions and in the Republic of Karakalpakstan (121.9%).
In January-June 2023, the highest indicator of the average monthly wage by type of economic activity was in the field of finance and insurance – 12,446,600 soums. Also, in the field of information and communications, it reached 9,518,600 soums, in transportation and storage – 6,438,700 soums, in industry – 5,400,700 soums, which is significantly higher than the national average.
In the field of education, as well as healthcare, and the provision of social services, average monthly wages are considerably low (3,042,800 soums and 2,862,400 soums, respectively).
