Uzbekistan ranks 64th in Global Healthcare Quality Index
Uzbekistan has secured 64th place out of 110 countries in the Ceoworld Magazine ranking of healthcare system quality, with an index score of 36.26.
The closer a country’s index is to 100, the higher the quality of its healthcare system.
Uzbekistan’s position among CIS and Central Asian countries:
- Russia – 42nd
- Azerbaijan – 57th
- Belarus – 61st
- Uzbekistan – 64th
- Ukraine – 76th
- Kazakhstan – 78th
- Turkmenistan – 95th
According to the ranking, Taiwan, South Korea, and Australia have the best healthcare systems, while El Salvador, Honduras, and Nepal rank the lowest.
Healthcare System Quality Index
This index is based on a statistical analysis of overall healthcare quality, considering factors such as:
- Healthcare infrastructure,
- Competency of medical professionals (doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff),
- Cost of medical services (measured in per capita USD),
- Accessibility of high-quality pharmaceuticals,
- Government readiness and commitment to healthcare development.
Additional factors, such as environmental conditions and access to clean drinking water, are also taken into account.
Other rankings
At the beginning of 2025, Uzbekistan ranked 18th out of 139 countries in the Food Price Index. Additionally, Uzbekistan was identified as having the cheapest restaurant prices in the CIS region.
According to the 2025 Restaurant Price Index, Uzbekistan ranked 17th among 139 countries. The country also ranked 15th in the world for cheapest cappuccino prices (out of 126 countries).
In terms of clothing affordability, Uzbekistan placed:
- 21st out of 98 countries for jeans,
- 72nd for men's leather shoes,
- 84th for sneakers,
- 75th for summer dresses.
