Assistants of PA head to start working in regions

Positions of assistants to the head of the Presidential Administration are being created to coordinate the activities of public reception centers in the regions.

Assistants of the head of administration carry out their activities directly in the regions. These positions will be created in exchange for the reduction of existing staff units.

According to UzA, a presidential decree has been adopted in this regard. In the document, this change is explained with the aim of “establishing direct relations with the regions and taking prompt measures based on the situation at places”. 

According to the official report, recently the activities of the People’s Reception Centers have not been effective enough, they have been lax in solving local problems and are mainly engaged in fraud, which causes legitimate objections of the population. For this reason, some tasks have been defined in connection with the strengthening of the Institute of People’s Reception Centers.

In particular, in addition to the administrative assistants starting to work in the regions, as an effective measure, the employees of People’s Reception Centers are given the right to draw up administrative reports and send them to the court regarding the violations of the legal documents on the appeals of individuals and legal entities in state bodies and organizations.

The decree also abolished the positions of adviser to the president on issues of protection of citizens’ rights, control and coordination of work with appeals (prior to that, Tursinkhan Khudaybergenov was an adviser) and adviser to the president on civil service issues (it was vacant before that), and a new position was created on their basis - the presidential adviser on issues of public service, communication with the population and coordination of activities of local authorities.

It is noted that the purpose of this is to establish a new system of cooperation between the state and citizens, to introduce modern approaches to considering appeals in state bodies, and to establish effective control over local problem solving.

Earlier, it became known that Gofurjon Mirzayev was appointed to the newly created position. Before that, he was the khokim of Syrdarya region.
