On September 23, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a corresponding resolution, which approved separate plans-schedules in the context of regions, districts and industries, identified specific measures and sources.
At the meeting, the Minister of Energy and khokims of regions reported about the work done in this direction. It was noted that, first of all, measures are being taken to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity to the population. To this end, it is planned to generate 21 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in the fourth quarter, and almost 22 billion kilowatt-hours at the beginning of next year. Also, in the autumn-winter period, 10 billion cubic meters of natural gas will be supplied to consumers.
In order to avoid wastefulness in this process, the head of state instructed to fully digitize all links in the natural gas supply chain – from gas wells to consumers. It was emphasized that liquefied gas and coal will be supplied to villages and remote areas, their social facilities, far from gas pipelines. If necessary, the regions will receive additional reserves.
“The leaders of all industries and regions should double their responsibility in this matter, meet the needs of the population, not leave without attention and promptly resolve each appeal,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The Ministry of Energy was instructed to monitor the state of providing the population with energy resources in real time. It was noted that the activities of call centers and regional working groups are important in solving emerging problems.
Particular attention is paid to the issue of saving energy resources. It is emphasized that the crisis phenomena in the global energy industry also affect the region, in connection with which the relevance of responsible consumption increases. In this regard, the importance of introducing energy efficient technologies in all institutions and increasing the involvement of the population in the cause of energy conservation was emphasized.
The meeting also touched upon the issues of financial recovery of enterprises and increasing the stability of commercial banks. A number of instructions were given to assist projects launched at the expense of loans in reducing their overdue debts by reaching full production capacity.
