Citizens purchasing new homes will receive cashback on payments
To further reduce the shadow economy in the sector, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has instructed the development of proposals to offer cashback to citizens for a portion of the amount they pay when purchasing new homes. This directive was discussed during a video conference on January 23, where plans for the 2025 mortgage program were reviewed.

During the meeting, it was announced that 15.5 trillion UZS would be allocated from the state budget to finance housing programs this year. In addition, banks plan to allocate another 10 trillion UZS for this purpose. The "Mortgage Company" will contribute 2.3 trillion UZS to these initiatives.
Officials have been tasked with providing at least 70,000 housing loans in 2025, with 30,000 of these loans to be offered to low-income families, for which the government will subsidize the down payment.
During the meeting, reports from responsible officials and regional leaders were also presented.
