Uzbekistan to host World Chess Olympiad in 2026
The 45th World Chess Olympiad will be held in Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan participated in the bid announced by the General Assembly of FIDE to host the 2026 World Chess Olympiad.
The country won the vote with a unanimous decision of delegates.
The World Chess Olympiad is the most prestigious competition in the world of chess and has been held since 1924.
