AviaSpotter says Uzbekistan Airways’ Urgench-Tashkent and Almaty-Tashkent flights have already been diverted to the airport in Navoi.
Earlier it was reported that a major power outage in Kazakhstan had caused an electricity shutdown in Uzbekistan. Metro and interregional electric trains have stopped in the country.
Water supply was also disrupted due to the failure of pumps.
Soon, interruptions in mobile communication may also begin.
