As the press service of the Health Ministry reported, from January 25, the requirement for mandatory express testing for coronavirus infection at international airports, railway stations and border points will be cancelled.
However, passengers arriving in Uzbekistan must provide a certificate (PCR test result) of the absence of coronavirus infection, provided no later than 48 hours before check-in for a plane or train.
Earlier, it was reported that from January 15, the State Customs Committee, together with the Sanitary and Epidemiological Wellbeing Service, will organize express testing points in the arrivals halls of all international airports in Uzbekistan. All arriving citizens must undergo express testing for coronavirus.
The cost of the test is set at the equivalent of $5, which is charged in soums at the CB rate. Students who present a student ID will receive a 50% discount. Tests are free for people with disabilities of group I and II. Children under 2 years of age will not be tested.
