According to the press service of Uzbekistan Airports, on October 13, a plane of the Russian airline Yamal with 220 passengers on board was supposed to fly to Namangan from Domodedovo Airport at 15:40 Moscow time. However, the charter flight was not organized.
“Due to the late submission of a request for a charter flight, the airline did not receive the appropriate permission from the regulatory body, the Uzaviatsia agency,” the report reads.
The company emphasized that Namangan International Airport had nothing to do with the cancellation of flights.
“The airport staff explained the situation to the passengers, who were supposed to take a return flight from Namangan to Moscow at 23:00 Tashkent time,” the company concluded.
