UzAuto Motors suspends concluding new agreements for sale of 4 car models
UzAuto Motors has suspended concluding new agreements for the sale of Nexia, Spark, Cobalt and Lacetti cars until February 1, 2022, due to logistics problems, the company said.

They noted that logistics problems in ports and on rail routes (containers are up to 6 months late), as well as interruptions in the supply of semiconductors around the world have led to a protracted crisis in the global automotive industry.
“Despite the round-the-clock production, despite all the efforts of dealers and the dedicated work of the company’s employees, the queues at car dealerships continue to grow. The UzAuto Motors team in October, November and December did everything possible to fulfill their contractual obligations, and without any loss for quality. But every time when the company practically managed to cope with the situation, to produce previously undelivered cars and almost return to normal working rhythm, another failure threw us all back,” the report reads.
“In these conditions, the company has no other choice but to follow the example of a number of other global automakers, temporarily, for the period from 20.12.2021 to 01.02.22, suspend accepting new applications for the sale of Nexia, Spark, Cobalt and Lacetti cars and concentrate all its efforts in the production of pre-ordered vehicles,” the company said.
