The executive director of the pension fund, Abdulaziz Khaydarov, in an interview with a Kun.uz correspondent, spoke about an increase in the size of pensions in September.

“In September this year, it is envisaged to increase the size of pensions by 10%. In 2020, the size of pensions for pensioners was increased once by 10%, and then by another 7%,” he said.

The head of the fund also told about some innovations in the pension system.

It is noted that by the end of 2021, mechanisms will be introduced to assign 7 types of pensions through public service centers. At the same time, online remote services will be provided to citizens.

“Before, citizens retired through the Pension Department. We could not find many documents, there was a lot of unnecessary trouble. There were cases when they could not provide the relevant documents. Now, through contacting public services, retirement will be provided in electronic format.

One of the big goals set for us is to develop a concept for reforming the pension system until 2030. In the near future, we will provide it to the people. An important innovation of the document is the introduction of a system of transition to a three-tier pension system,” Abdulaziz Khaydarov said.

Earlier, the presidential decree reported that from July 1, 2021, the minimum amount of pensions and benefits would be increased. In particular, taking into account the additional payment, the minimum pension for persons with incomplete work experience was increased from 256 thousand 675 soums to 400 thousand soums. The amount of benefits for the elderly and disabled citizens without the necessary work experience was increased from 315 thousand soums to 400 thousand soums.
