It was noted that for the first time, the “El-Yurt Umidi” Foundation announced an initiative to grant 100 scholarships for undergraduate students, as well as five times more for masters and Ph.D. students than in previous years.
The next scholarship competition for 350 students in all areas of education and specialties was held in April-June of this year.
3810 candidates competed for the indicated 350 places. In the end, only 196 candidates, who fully met the requirements of the fund (spoke a foreign language at the CEFR level B2 and were admitted to a foreign educational institution), took part in the final competition.
According to the results of the competition held on July 1, 78 candidates were awarded scholarships of the fund. US universities account for 37 out of 78 students, universities of Great Britain – for 21, Germany and Italy – 4 each, Canada – 3, Belgium and Russia – 2 each, Australia, Austria, Spain, France, and Malaysia – 1 each.
31 scholarship holders are currently undergraduate students, while 38 do their master's degrees and 9 – Ph.D.
