On August 5, the President got acquainted with the project on expanding public-private partnerships in the energy sector, transport industry and in the spheres of utilities and medicine.
It was noted at the meeting that the work being done in the sphere of transport and logistics network is unsatisfactory.
As reported by the presidential press service, $27 billion will be required in the next phase of the industry’s development.
Today it takes 5-6 hours to travel from Tashkent to Andijan via the Kamchik pass due to traffic jams. With the launch of the “Tashkent-Andijan” toll road, the travel time will be reduced to 3 hours.
In this regard, Mirziyoyev stressed the importance of announcing a tender for the construction of a new tunnel on the Kamchik pass.
