District and city administrative courts to be abolished
District (city) administrative courts are abolished and the power to hear cases on administrative offenses is transferred to the criminal courts.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on additional measures to further improve the work of the courts and increase the efficiency of the judicial system.
This decree provides for the creation of an effective system of administrative justice in the country, taking into account the best international practices and standards.
In particular, the power to hear cases on administrative offenses is transferred to the criminal courts.
District (city) administrative courts will be abolished and inter-district administrative courts will be established in Karakalpakstan, regional centers and the city of Tashkent.
199 district (city) administrative courts will be optimized and 14 inter-district administrative courts will be established in regional centers.
