Olimjon Umarov resigns as First Deputy Minister for ICT Development, becomes Adviser to the Prime Minister
Olimjon Umarov resigned as the First Deputy Minister for ICT Development.

He has been appointed Adviser to the Prime Minister – head of the department for development of IT technologies, telecommunications and innovation.
Earlier, a new executive structure of the Cabinet of Ministers was confirmed, in accordance with which three new posts of advisers to the PM were introduced.
Olimjon Umarov was appointed First Deputy Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications in the summer of 2017. Prior to his appointment, he served as head of a department at the ministry.
