“Two weeks ago, a misfortune happened in my house. May Allah keep her in His mercy.

This poor girl came to us in January. She was one of two employees who looked after my wife, who was bedridden for more than 20 years. Over the past 2-3 months, we began to notice some changes in Nadira’s mental state, and therefore we hired another employee. Nadira wanted the new girl to leave, but it turned out the other way around.

5 minutes after the tragedy, police and emergency aid arrived. Before their arrival, I and my youngest daughter tried to open the door of the room, where the girl locked herself. Unfortunately, we did not succeed in opening it. Three or four police officers were hardly able to open the door. They put Nadira on a stretcher and drove to the hospital.

Within half an hour, the chief policeman of Ankara came to us. A few minutes later the prosecutor on duty arrived. I told them that I would do everything in my power to help. All members of my family were interrogated until night. I told the prosecutor everything. Then the prosecutor went to the hospital and continued the investigation there.

Despite my parliamentary immunity, they took my fingerprints and checked the presence of traces of gunpowder,” General Ünal said.

It should be recalled that earlier, Kun.uz published an interview with the Chief Prosecutor of Ankara Yüksel Kocaman. The official said that the investigation will be carried out in accordance with the law, regardless of who the person is – the general, deputy, or anyone else.
