Turkish ambassador to Uzbekistan invited to the Foreign Ministry to comment on Nadira Kadirova’s death

On November 8, 2019, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dilshod Akhatov invited the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey Mehmet Süreyya Er to the Foreign Ministry to comment on the death of Nadira Kadirova, a citizen of Uzbekistan, who died in Ankara.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the ambassador expressed his sincere condolences on the tragic incident that led to an Uzbek citizen's death. He noted that the relevant Turkish authorities are currently conducting a thorough investigation on the case.
The ambassador said that the investigation will be conducted objectively and the Uzbek side will be informed promptly about the progress and results of the investigation.
It should be noted that Kun.uz covered this issue by sending its correspondent to Ankara. One month after the incident, during an interview with Kun.uz, Nadira Kadirova’s brother provided detailed information about the case, clarified rumors and gave a general picture of the tragedy.
