Uzbekistan awards Moscow State University rector Viktor Sadovnichiy with “Dustlik” Order

Rector of Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichiy was awarded with “Dustlik” (Friendship) Order of the Republic of Uzbekistan for his significant contribution to the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia in the field of science and education.

According to the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, the award was handed over by the Presidential Adviser, Rustam Kasimov.

It was noted at the awarding ceremony held at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Moscow that cooperation between the two countries is developing in the spirit of friendship, trust and strategic partnership.

The parties pointed out that the cooperation in the field of higher education has risen to a new level and the scale of mutually beneficial projects between higher education institutions of the two countries has been expanding.

Viktor Sadovnichiy's contribution to the opening of Moscow State University branch in Tashkent was great, the report said.

For information, the Tashkent branch of Moscow State University named after M. Lomonosov was established in 2006. Currently, 427 students are trained in Psychology, Applied Mathematics and Informatics at the branch.
