Khokim of Samarkand region is appointed
An extraordinary session of the Samarkand Regional Council of People's Deputies was held on 11 January.
According to Kun.uz correspondent, the organizational issues were discussed at the meeting and acting khokim of Samarkand region Erkinjon Turdimov was appointed to the post of khokim.
It should be noted that Turdimov was appointed acting khokim of the region in July 2018, replacing Turob Jurayev, who was dismissed from office due to corruption scandal.
Erkinjon Turdimov was born on July 10, 1969 in Kushrabat district of Samarkand region. In 1991, he graduated from Tashkent State University of Economics.
He served as khokim of Navoi region from 2008 to 2016 and of Surkhandarya region from 2016 to 2018.
