Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a ceremony in the Ekaterininsky Hall of the Kremlin, awarded outstanding citizens of the country who have achieved commendable results in their fields of activity.
Among the awardees were representatives of science and culture, astronauts, sports trainers and entrepreneurs.
It is worth noting that Alisher Usmanov, Russian billionaire of Uzbek origin, and his spouse, were also granted this honor.
Irina Viner-Usmanova, as the head coach of the Russian rhythmic gymnastics team, received the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland” II class. In the presidential decree, it was noted that she deserved this award “for her outstanding contribution to the development of physical culture and sports, and her many years of diligent work”.
Her husband, entrepreneur Alisher Usmanov, was awarded the same Order of the III class “for his enormous contribution to the development of the Russian economy, culture and sports”.
