Uzbekistan appoints new ambassador to Ireland
Ravshan Usmanov, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Iceland, has been appointed as the country’s new Ambassador to Ireland.

According to the Dunyo news agency, Ambassador Usmanov – whose official residence is in London – presented copies of his credentials to Ralph Victory, Head of the Protocol Division at Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
During the meeting, both sides discussed prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Ireland. Special attention was paid to boosting ties in trade, economy, culture, and tourism.
Agriculture, information and communication technologies (ICT), pharmaceuticals, and renewable energy were highlighted as promising areas for future collaboration.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Irish side wished the Uzbek ambassador success in his efforts to deepen and expand bilateral relations.
