First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Shavkat Rahmonov dismissed
Following the departure of former Minister of Internal Affairs Pulat Bobojonov, his first deputy, Shavkat Rahmonov, has also been dismissed.

Colonel Shavkat Rahmonov, the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Head of the Operational-Search Department, has left his position.
There has been no official statement on the matter; however, Rahmonov’s information has disappeared from the leadership section of the ministry’s website.
Currently, Bekmurod Abdullaev, Davron Nazarmukhamedov, Ramazon Ashropov, Zufar Qurbanov, Saidkarim Nishonboev, and Bahodir Mirzarakhimov are listed as deputy ministers.
Colonel Shavkat Rahmonov previously served as the head of the Khorezm Regional Department of Internal Affairs (2017–2019), the Samarkand Regional Department of Internal Affairs (2019–2022), and the Namangan Regional Department of Internal Affairs (2022–2023). Since February 2023, he had been serving as the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Head of the Operational-Search Department.
It should be recalled that Lieutenant General Pulat Bobojonov, who had led Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs since September 2017, stepped down from his position on March 3, 2025, and was appointed Deputy Presidential Advisor.
In his place, Major General Aziz Toshpulatov, who had been serving as the Head of the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs since March 2020, was appointed as the new Minister of Internal Affairs.
Meanwhile, Colonel Ravshan Sultonkhodjaev has been appointed as the new head of the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs, replacing Toshpulatov. He had previously served as the head of the Khorezm Regional Department of Internal Affairs since August 2023.
