Uzbekistan national team wins gold at the Asian Fencing Championship in Kuwait
Uzbekistan’s saber fencers claimed the top spot on the podium, defeating Kazakhstan in the team competition.

Kuwait is hosting the 2025 Cadets and Juniors Asian Fencing Championship, with 50 athletes from Uzbekistan participating in the tournament, according to the press service of the National Olympic Committee (NOC).
In the team event, Uzbekistan’s saber fencers – Islombek Abdazov, Sardor Abdukarimbekov, Musa Aymuratov, and Zuhriddin Kodirov – secured the gold medal.
On their way to victory, the team triumphed over Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
It is also noteworthy that on February 27, fencer Fernanda Herrera, representing Uzbekistan, became the Asian champion in the individual competition at the same championship.
