Hunting season in Uzbekistan ends on March 1
The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of Uzbekistan has announced that the hunting season will be closed from March 1 to August 15.
During this time, hunting wild animals and birds is strictly forbidden. The ministry has emphasized that violating hunting regulations, particularly hunting during the prohibited period, will lead to serious legal consequences.
The ministry has urged citizens to be more cautious and respectful toward nature during the closed hunting season, as stated in the announcement.
Individuals who encounter illegal hunting can report it to the ministry through the hotline numbers 1157, 1207, (71) 207-11-07, and (71) 207-11-08, via the Telegram bot ecogovuz_bot, or by contacting the relevant regional authorities.
Earlier, it was reported that a hunting moratorium might be introduced in Uzbekistan from September 1, 2025, to January 1, 2028. As an alternative activity for hunters, shooting ranges specializing in shooting sports will be made available. These measures are included in the draft of the 2025 State Program.
